Need PayPal integration or Stripe integration for an online store? Start with two decisions: which payment arrangement is available to your business, and how your website will turn a successful payment into a reliable order. This guide explains where Western Bid fits and what to check before commissioning the integration.
Connecting PayPal and Stripe: choose the payment route first
A direct merchant integration uses your own approved provider account. A Western Bid arrangement follows the service and settlement terms agreed with Western Bid. A developer can connect the website, but cannot grant account approval or override eligibility rules. Check your business country and product category before choosing the technical route. Stripe Global
Western Bid describes PayPal and Stripe payment options for stores and names WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento, OpenCart, Horoshop and Ecwid among its supported sales platforms. Confirm the available methods for your particular store before development. Western Bid
Westernbid WooCommerce: more than installing a payment plugin
For WordPress stores, the relevant component is a WooCommerce payment gateway. WooCommerce documents a gateway API for plugin development and treats Checkout Blocks integration separately from the classic checkout. That distinction matters when a payment option appears in one checkout but disappears in the other. WooCommerce Gateway API
If you are looking for “Westernbid Payment Gateway for WooCommerce”, ask which exact plugin or custom integration is proposed, who maintains it, and which checkout it supports. The name alone does not establish an official endorsement or compatibility with your installed versions.
- Review WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, the checkout type and any checkout customisations before selecting the implementation.
- Check the payable total after shipping, discounts and taxes; test the currencies actually approved for the account.
- Match payment references to orders and define what customers see after cancellation, failure or a delayed confirmation.
- Verify stock updates, customer emails and order status changes with the store’s existing extensions.
When assessing HPOS compatibility, review how the integration reads and updates orders. WooCommerce recommends its order APIs rather than direct access to the old WordPress order tables. WooCommerce HPOS
Westernbid Laravel: a custom integration with clear boundaries
A Laravel website normally needs an application-specific payment adapter rather than a WordPress plugin. We have not verified a ready-made official Western Bid Laravel package. Start by obtaining the payment documentation and credentials applicable to your account; do not assume that a logistics or reporting API is also a checkout API. Western Bid explains how API access is requested through support. Western Bid API
Our suggested implementation separates the customer’s checkout, the provider request and the final order update. The server calculates the order total, associates a payment attempt with that order and records a confirmed outcome. Callback verification must follow the documentation for the actual gateway being used.
Laravel Cashier is documented for Stripe billing. It should not be treated as a Western Bid connector. If the agreed route is direct Stripe billing, assess Cashier against that requirement; if the route is Western Bid, design the adapter around Western Bid’s approved protocol. Laravel Cashier

Shopify, OpenCart, Magento and other website systems
The table below separates platforms named by Western Bid from systems that require an individual feasibility review. It is an implementation planning guide, not a claim that one plugin works on every platform. Western Bid
| Platform | Starting point |
|---|---|
| WordPress + WooCommerce | A compatible payment gateway; verify classic checkout, Checkout Blocks and order storage. |
| Shopify | Confirm the connection route with Western Bid and the options available to this store. |
| OpenCart, Magento / Adobe Commerce | Confirm version and available module; scope a custom connector if necessary. |
| Horoshop, Ecwid | Ask Western Bid which configuration is available for the particular storefront. |
| Laravel, Symfony, custom PHP | Individual server-side integration after payment API access and the workflow are confirmed. |
| PrestaShop, Shopware, Drupal Commerce, CS-Cart | Check provider support, extension availability and the platform payment API first. |
| Wix, Webflow, Squarespace, BigCommerce | Check the platform’s payment-provider restrictions before promising a native checkout integration. |
| Node.js, Django, headless storefronts | Assess the backend payment adapter and order lifecycle; the frontend framework does not establish gateway support. |
Our launch checklist: payment, confirmation, order
Treat payment confirmation as a server-side workflow. For direct integrations, Stripe and PayPal document webhook verification; the corresponding Western Bid protocol must be checked separately. A browser reaching a thank-you page is not sufficient evidence that an order has been paid. Stripe Webhooks · PayPal Security
- Successful, cancelled and failed payments produce the intended order states.
- Repeated notifications do not create duplicate fulfilment or duplicate customer emails.
- Amounts, currency and order references are checked before the order is marked paid.
- Timeouts leave a recoverable pending state, with a clear support procedure.
- Credentials remain server-side; diagnostic logs exclude secrets and unnecessary customer data.
- Mobile checkout, customer messages and the agreed refund workflow are tested before launch.
What affects the cost and delivery scope?
Development effort depends on the platform, existing checkout changes, the available connector and the required order lifecycle. A checkout configuration is a different job from building a Laravel adapter or repairing a legacy WooCommerce gateway. Ask for a scope covering implementation, testing, release and support.
Provider charges and development fees are separate. Confirm the current payment, conversion, settlement and refund terms directly with Western Bid; this article does not offer a universal fee or approval deadline. Western Bid — тарифи / rates
Questions before connecting the gateway
Can Westernbid WooCommerce and Westernbid Laravel use the same plugin? No. A WordPress plugin and a Laravel application use different integration points. The approved payment service may be shared, but the website-side implementation must suit the platform.
Does a Western Bid connection create a personal Stripe or PayPal merchant account? Do not assume so. Confirm the contractual payment arrangement and settlement process with the provider before selecting a connector.
Can every CMS accept Western Bid? A platform name is not enough to confirm this. The available payment extension points, provider approval and the store’s requirements must all be checked. For a restricted platform, agree a supported alternative before work begins.
Can Waytrel Studio help with an existing store? Share the site and describe the problem: a missing payment option, pending orders, a checkout migration or a new integration. We will define the technical work after reviewing the setup.
